A micro Vickers hardness testing machine is a precision instrument used to measure the hardness of small, thin, or delicate materials. It works by pressing a diamond pyramid-shaped indenter into the material's surface with a specific, low load, and then an optical system or digital camera measures the size of the resulting indentation. The Vickers hardness value (HV) is calculated from the applied force and the diagonal length of the indentation and is displayed on a digital screen.
